Afternoon HaiFASTers
We are excited to share that Athletics Nova Scotia has received approval from the Nova Scotia Public Health Authority for its Return to Sport Training Phase 1 plan. As you can imagine, there are a number of safety protocols and procedures we will need to observe in order to keep our Athletes, Coaches and Volunteers safe as we return to sport.
Limits on the size of group gatherings permitted by Provincial Health Officials will impact our training schedules and how many Athletes we are able to have back on the track and field at any given time.
For those Athletes in groups resuming organized group training, Thursday, July 2, 2020 will be the first day back. In the meantime, Athletes following training programs provided by their Coaches may continue to do so.
Please stay tuned for upcoming communications as we will begin to share the details of our group training resumption plan in the days ahead. First up will be a link to Athletics Nova Scotia’s Return to Sport Training Phase 1 plan. Athletes (over the age of majority), Coaches, Parents/Guardians and Volunteers will be required to read and acknowledge they understand and agree to comply with all applicable rules, regulations, safety protocols and procedures prior to resuming organized group activities.
We look forward to a safe and healthy summer as we get back on the track and field!
